　　In welding work, the correct selection and use of silver welding wire is a key link in ensuring welding quality. Silver welding wire has many excellent characteristics, but to give full play to its advantages, it needs to be considered and operated from multiple aspects. Whether it is a professional welding craftsman or a welding operator in industrial production, mastering the correct choice and use of silver welding wire is of great significance to improving welding efficiency, ensuring welding quality, and reducing production costs.

　　When choosing silver welding wire, the first thing to do is to clarify the specific welding needs. Different welding scenarios have different performance requirements for silver welding wire. If weld precision components in electronic equipment, welded wires with high silver content should be preferred. This type of welding wire has better conductivity and wettability, which can meet the needs of high-precision welding; if it is just an ordinary copper water pipe connection, welding wires with low silver content are more cost-effective, enough to meet the basic welding requirements. At the same time, the appropriate silver welding wire model should be selected according to the material of the base material. The welding copper and copper alloy can be used to choose BAg25CuZn and other models, and the different materials of welding steel and copper can be used to consider silver welding wire containing nickel.

　　Before using silver welding wire, sufficient preparations must be made. The welding surface should be cleaned to remove impurities such as oil, oxide film, dust, etc. on the surface. It can be polished with sandpaper or cleaned with organic solvents to ensure that the welding surface is clean and tidy and avoid impurities affecting the quality of the welding joints. For silver welding wires that have been stored for a long time, it is necessary to check whether they are damp or oxidized. If there are oxidative spots on the surface, they can be polished properly before use.

　　Temperature control is crucial during welding. The heating temperature needs to be reasonably adjusted according to the melting point of the silver welding wire and the characteristics of the base material. If the temperature is too low, the silver welding wire cannot be fully melted, the fluidity is poor, and it is difficult to fill the gap; if the temperature is too high, it may lead to oxidation of the base material and the volatility of the low melting point elements in the welding wire, affecting the performance of the joint. During manual welding, you can determine whether the temperature is suitable by observing the melting state of the welding wire. When the welding wire flows evenly in a liquid state, it means that the temperature is more suitable.

　　When welding, you also need to pay attention to the welding speed and welding rod angle. If the welding speed is too fast, the welding wire cannot be melted sufficiently, and the joints are prone to defects such as unfusion; if the speed is too slow, it may cause the base material to overheat and deform. The welding rod angle should be adjusted according to the welding position and the shape of the base material, and is generally kept at around 45° to ensure that the welding wire can fill the brazing joint evenly.

　　After the welding is completed, the welded joints must be inspected. Observe whether the surface of the joint is flat and smooth, and whether there are any defects such as pores, welds, cracks, etc. If defects are found, welding needs to be repaired in time. For welded joints with sealing requirements, sealing tests are also required, such as water pressure tests, airtightness tests, etc., to ensure that the joints do not leak.
